The May List

This month has found me....

Reading - The Elegance of the Hedgehog, Big Magic and The Pleasures Of Life.

Listening to - The Alabama Shakes, Edith Piaf, Shovels and Rope.

Making - a basket! After watching Annette teach at our last 'Connect + Create' workshop.

Finalising - the three new candle aromas that we are about to release. They're a little edgy, a little sophisticated and rather addictive. I hope you love them like I do!

Planning - five Nourish and Nest events for this year! Details to be revealed soon but I can tell you that we have three workshops (one of which involves copious amount of blooms) and two gatherings. Sign up to our newsletter (on the homepage) to be the first to find out when tickets are released.

Preparing - for the Wild Rumpus Maker's Market. Such a unique, high-calibre event. I am looking forward to shopping as much as selling!

Baking - Apple, Hazelnut & Wattleseed Loaf. Recipe on the blog from our last instalment of 'Nourish and Nest Kitchen'. Have you tried it? What did you think?

Giving - $1 from every candle sold to the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and being grateful for the amazing work they do with vulnerable people seeking asylum. More info on this great organisation and our giving philosophy here

Purveying - the newest additions to our range of hand-illustrated fine-china ceramic mugs. Created by Rowemade, they feature different aspects of the Nourish and Nest philosophy. 'Embrace Simplicity' and 'Live Passionately' are available in our online store while they last.

Planting - greens galore.. silverbeet, lettuce, spinach and pak choy

Harvesting - mandarins, oranges and plenty of chillies (I think I'll make up some of this).

Continuing - to work on a mini-makeover of a few rooms in our house and finishing our new studio. Agh! Does anyone else wish there was an extra day a week purely for working on unfinished projects? :)

Aligning - myself with the seasons. Embracing the earlier sunsets and the chilly evenings by purposefully soaking up the sun during the day and adding layers of warmth to our home at night - lighting the fire, candles everywhere, a perpetual mug of earl grey at my side.

How about you? How have your been spending your Autumn days? What is inspiring you at the moment? Please share!

Tara xx

I with you in the need for an extra day to finish all those half started projects, can it come with a free babysitter too!? Can’t wait to hear about your upcoming events! Might finally make it to one :)
